Hi Everyone,
I have been turning pens for a few months now. While the original idea was bowls, I thought I'd start small and unexpectedly got hooked and really enjoy creating pens.
While doing some searches on CA finishing I found this group. My challenge is to resolve a haze I get on burled walnut. The pens look great after they are polished, but they start to spot within hours or a day or two.
Though I thought I tried just about every option but I then found one here that mentioned BLO, denatured alcohol, varnish, and a bit of time. I haven't got to that one yet but I'll be on it this weekend. There is hope.
Looking forward to learning here and contributing when I can.
John
