Hello everyone, I am a General Contractor living on Long Island NY
I got my lathe last October and have been turning bowls and joined 2 woodturning clubs
Turned about ten pens , gave them to my family of 6 kids and didn't even end up with one for myself yet
Between my two clubs Long Island woodturners association and Long Island woodturners guild , I am now in the process of getting a Turnathon going for Freedom pens
I bought 300 blanks myself , all I need now is the guts to the pens and we will be on our way to sending pens to our troops!!
First time on this site tonight, hope to pick up some pointers
Nice to meet everyone

Hi and welcome Hugh!

... The past 6 months I have been "returning/refinishing" many pens I did in my first 6 months. I was using Hut Friction Polish (I have NO COMPLAINTS with the product - it performed as it should...; just not a lasting finish). So.., go slow!

Enough of the sermon!

Welcome and enjoy!
