I haven't been able to check in here or finish the pen I started.
I was going to the garage to get a tool for my pen and stepped on a patch of ice. I went down fast and hard. I heard a loud pop sound as I was approaching the ground and slammed my elbow into the pavement. Then there was excruciating pain in my knee. My elbow was hurting, but my knee over-powered that pain, and my knee swelled so badly, that we had to cut my pants off.
Went to the doc, had an MRI and he says he don't see any damage to my knee, but he will recheck it in a week. In the meantime, I have several restrictions and physical therapy.
Oh, and I fractured my elbow.

Making pens is hazardous to my health.

Hope that you heal completely and soon.

I only go on ice that is part of a frozen lake.......to ice fish.
Otherwise, I will walk out of my way to not step on an icy sidewalk or path.

Sorry to read about your accident. Happy it wasn't any worse.

John, Don't be surprised if it shows up on you next visit. Couple years back I had an accident involving a tree. Went to the Er, x-rays and Mri showed nothing. 4 days later and two visits to the ortho to have my knee drained, the new MRI showed a clean break in my tibia plateau. In the mean time the best advice I can give you is ice is your Friend. Good luck and wish you a speedy recovery
