I made up a set of handles for my 4m quad line kite.
We started with 3/8" aluminum rod notched, smoothed and polished. Then we drilled some 6" grapevine blanks to 10.5 mm and tubed with 11/32 brass.
Turned them, sanded to 1000 and finished with pipe on poly.
The handles are pinned to the shafts with 6/32 set screws then the final bends were done.
It's fun to put the pen turning skills to other uses.
