Ok, this isn't a penturning tool but one of my coworkers is in need of assistance. What is the best way to replace the handle on an axe? Thanks,

1. Get new handle
2. Take out old broken handle
3. Put new handle in.
LOL, could'nt resist, should not be hard to do. Just be sure to drive in the metal wedge to make the new handle swell out and hold it in the axe.

A belt sander makes the job of shaping the new handle to fit into the eye. Just don't go too crazy with the sander.

Also most tool eyes are tapered so when you put the wedge in the head stays on. The larger side of the eye goes to the top.
