Hi Guys

I made this hall bench 48 x 14 x 20 for a friend. Comments are welcome but do take it easy on me since this is my FRIST ever furniture project. I hope to learn and build many more projects worthy of posting.

It is made with solid white oak, mortise and tennon on the sides and the pieces are assembled with dowels.

Finish is 5 coats of orange shellac and 4 coats of water base poly by GF and final sanding of 220 grit sand paper after each of the last coat of finish.

That looks very nice! This is your first piece?!?! very good. I like mission style but I think it would add a little more to your next one if you did through mortises comming out the front and the back sides. Very nice work you should be proud!
