Thanks to my lovely wife for giving me a fabulous gift for fathers day.Iwas able to try this style of blank finally.Itis comprised of Oak burl,Redwood burl.Myrtle burl.Cherry,and Flame box elder.

There are 9 layers,11 segments ea,and 11 dividers.

I have one of those inquiring kinds of minds.....what was the 'gift'? New saw maybe a micro kerf?



The segments are many, and the time it took...WOW! Nicely done!!

I guess "fabulous gift" is a little misleading.It wasn't a special tool I'd been lusting after.It was a penturning care package of generous variety including component sets,blanks,center drilling vise.

As you can see from the crooked segs I made this one, finally got to see what it looks like.
