I was in the Springfield Grizzly showroom on Tuesday afternoon and inquired about the two new mini's featured on page 126 of their 2008 catalog. I've been asking about these since January. Today I was told that the lathes have been shipped and are currently on the water. They expect them to be in the distribution centers by May 15.
I'm not holding my breath
but the fellow seemed pretty certain that they were going to get them at last. I must confess that I gave up last month and bought a Jet 10x14 VSI and am happy with everything but the torque of the motor. It seems like it is a little light at all three belt positions. But, it is the quietest lathe I own. Just thought that someone might like to know the latest prediction of an arrival date for these mini lathes.
