Hey I'm Matt Segler. I'm 15 years old and I've been woodworking for as long as I can remember. My dad has a shop and I've always been fiddling around with this that and the other but never really spending serious time woodworking. That is until I got a lathe. My grandfather has an old Rockwell-Delta lathe that he passed on to me. My dad and I spent a weekend hauling it out of my grandfathers maze of a shop, "cleaning"-ish it, disassembling, and driving it back to my house. That night we returned, I stayed up until midnight putting the lathe back together. The next weekend I proceeded take it apart all over again clean, polish, and lubricate everything back into working order. Ever since then, I've been hooked. So hooked in fact, I recently started my own company selling pens, Trilogy Pens. The name comes from the lathe which my grandfather, my dad, and now I have worked on. With all the time I've been spending turning, my skills have come a VERY long way since my first pen to what I make now. Im excited to see where this experience goes and know IAP will help me go a long way.
