New turner, here!

Wife bought me a "starter" lathe, the Exelcior from Rockler. I've turned a few dozen pens, and am *really* hooked. I've prowled the site for a while, and decided to join because I know I'll be buying some stuff from the forum members.

And way more importantly, I joined to support the craft, and LEARN.

Thanks for the kind words about the pens. To be sure, the white/green one on the right has intentionally bare brass tubes. I wanted to see if the tube showing through would coordinate well with the gold plated pen kit (because, newbie). It seems to, but I have painted all the tubes with similarly translucent blanks.
