Hi! My name is Dan Kunz. I have been pen turning for a little over a year now. I actually joined several months ago, but just recently started utilizing the site.
I love working with all the amazing woods at our disposal. I often wonder if this wood could talk, what amazing stories would it tell us?
A fellow pen turner on here suggested I put out a request for help in locating a couple items, so, here goes.
I recently purchased a jobsite table saw by Hitachi. It is a Model C10RA2. I am searching for a good Miter gauge fence, as well as the polymer gear used to raise and lower the blade. Any suggestions out there are appreciated.
I found myself in a position a few years ago, where I had to retire. I have a 15 level anterior/posterior spinal fusion, which has required me to pursue some lifestyle modification. Having always enjoyed creating things, I ended up pursuing woodworking. Specifically woodturning. i am a father of 5 with 3 still at home, including my little granddaughter. My youngest Son, who is 16, has taken an interest in pen turning, and it is giving me a chance to spend quality time together. I look forward to getting acquainted with you all.
