Graduation Pen

I bought two center bands for my sister who is graduating, which i was going to use for a pen/pencil set. My only problem is that the centerband wont fit on the pencil, becaUSE IM USING SLIMLINE KITS WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE PRESSED IN. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA ON HOW I COULD STILL USE THE BANDS?

use a drill bit to ream out the center bands? The inside will be completely hidden anyway..

Mount the cb that came with the pencil on your lathe(either between centers or in a chuck) and turn it down flush with the part that is inserted into the tubes. Then slide your new cb on that piece.
