Graduate Ballpoint

I picked up a few Graduate ballpoint kits from PSI a few months back and just got around to making one using a blank from foolforpeppers.com. I normally prefer a roller ball, and if I have to go ballpoint I would normally prefer one that uses a Parker refill, but after a few days worth of use, I must say the supplied Cross type refill in the Graduate is surprisingly smooth.

I blackened the brass tubes prior to assembly. I probably should have painted them red or white instead as the black tubes darkened some of the whiter areas of the blank.

I think the blank looks pretty awesome. Coloring black works I think. The pen looks really well put together. Nice job on turning and finishing.

Think the paint used on the tubes was picked correctly. Shows off the blank well enough.


Silver painted tubes aren't supposed to 'mess with the colors' though...or so I've heard(YMMV).
