I have only been doing castings for a short time. I always read about reverse painting the tubes. But what about roughing them up? I know with CA you have to sand the tubes for good adhesion. Is the same true for acrylics when you cast tube in?

I have never thought about that when planing to cast with resin around the tube. I don't think you would have to worry about it. But that is just my best guess. I will be interested to see the answer on this one.

If I'm casting decals or labels or if I'm not using snake skin I powder coat the tubes first, usually white since that seems to promote the color, but what are you casting ?? If you rough up the tubes, and your using transparent colors in the PR the roughing might get magnified.
