Some pen rests I made up the other day for some of the backers.
Had the most fun with the two cedar ones. I worked them with my dremel and a tiny sanding drum. I just sort of zoned out and let the dust fly.

Any science behind the pen rest, or is it just a handy/cool piece to prop the pen on?

Go into an oriental store and get some chop stick rests/holders also. We have a bunch somewhere, probably still packed. Your "rests" reminded me of those.

Yeah those are really good too. Whenever we have our pen club meetings - at a Chinese restaurant - we always play with those. One guy stacks up holders and pens in all sorts of ways.

I like them! I will have to add some of those to the table. Great idea!

I made a stand last night for my upcoming show out of fiddleback maple and cherry. I'll post pics when I get it finished!
