I finished up this trio of stamp pens using these pretty flower stamps from Germany.

These are from the large batch I sent in to Don Vann for casting. He has an excellent casting service!

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks,guys,

They are fun to make.I just won 4 nice California Trout stamps on eBay for only $2.88 each,so hoping to turn out 2 nice pens with those. They look really neat,I hope I don't screw them up!

You are doing great, keep STAMPING them out! Be well.................Jan

I finished this last one in last night, and it goes with the others. This is the last of m Zens with the German stamps.

The stamps on this one are pretty interesting. They show the leaves, needles, seeds, etc. of 3 types of trees.I wasn't sure if I'd like the looks, but now that it's done,it looks pretty neat.Real nice detail in this stamps.

Thanks,
Steve

Where do you find the postage stamps that are in good condition? Are they in sheets or individual stamps pieced together?

I just go on ebay,it's amazing how many are on there to choose from.I like new looking ones,as to me the postmarks look more like smudgy dirt.

Here's some tips that I have learned that might help others.....

I like to use the search feature to whittle down all the choices.I put MNH ( Mint never hinged) in there, then click on "USA only",then a keyword, then on the show catagory- rectangled box,I choosei, "lowest cost/shipping" Then I go from there, tweaking the search feature as needed.

You can also add,"Block plate',in the search line since then you get 4 stamps in a block plate together.

Sometimes there are some real values there.Othertimes,I'm in a hurry and use he buy it now button.I always search the "see other items from the same seller",to try to combine shipping.

If you are already a seasoned Ebayer, these tips are worthless. But if not, they have worked for me good.I'm always so impressed in the ease of shopping, and payment system they have.I've only had one not good experience, and the seller took care of it.

Take care,
Steve

Lately,I have been using wood blanks that are too bland for pens, but I think its maybe better to use acrylic blanks that are just so-so looking.

Also having them casr works good.
