Hi to All,
Chris here from Western Australia.
Just started making a few pens after a client bought some turned blanks in for laser engraving at our shop. I loved what he'd done so have taken to it as well.
I have a metal lathe and have been making my own tapered bushes etc.
Have made about 20 pens so far, love them all, will put one up shortly in the show off your pens thread.

Thanks for all the info you kind people have posted here, I've been trawling for ages and have learn't heaps, especially with regard to CA sealing etc.

Welcome Chris from a fellow West Aussie!
I havent posted a great deal myself but have also learnt almost everything I know about penturning from this awesomec site.
Keep reading and turning and that total of 20 pens will soon be 100 but be careful - its seriously addictive!:biggrin:

Yes I'm enjoying this pen turning, just had an order come in from a local jeweller for some perfume pens for their staff.

You'd be nice and hot there now - done plenty of work up there in years gone by (my wife still thinks Finucane Island is a resort).

I'm in Bunbury, not so hot here.
