Found an estate sale near me that supposidly has tons of woodturning items so I contacted the seller. They claim there are "sheets" of crushed velvet. Hopefully its still available. Whats the going rate for stuff like this?

Also estate sales are kinda like garage sales right? So I can kinda wheel and deal?

crushed velvet

well hopefully it's not sheets of crushed velvet material that all those tacky couches and clothes were made from in the 70's : )

LOL--nice one Randy!!

IF it's acrylic, it could be sheets, that is how it was made.
There won't be a line forming to buy it, so make him an offer, he's unlikely to refuse.

This would be the same stuff thats hard to get now-a-days? I'll try to get pictures if he contacts me back

It has not been produced in nearly a decade, the factory is closed. NEW, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get.

But, it was all 5/8" thick (if you see the sheet, it will be this size-or it is VERY unlikely to be the original stuff).

5/8" does NOT easily make many of today's kits! That's the problem.
