Up the 46-460. The 46-460 adds 25% more motor, variable speed and forward reverse fearure.

Both are good lathes, but IMHO, the 1 HP motor and reverse sanding capabilities are worth the price of admission! The variable speed is the easiest I 'be ever used, as the belt adjustment is right up front.
