While I have turned quite a few pens, I don't post many on IAP. They are generally run of the mill kit pens. (Oh how I hate that word "kit". I like to think of the kits as the hardware of the pen and that's how I talk to my customers about their pen.)
Nevertheless I have participated over the past nearly 5 years I've been turning pens in 22+ pen swaps. I've often wondered did my blanks that I put in the swap ever get turned or is it just sitting gathering dust somewhere.
My 2009 PITH partner was Jason Cohn (baby blues).
The fountain pen and blanks are what he sent to me. I use the fountain pen everyday.
This post really is about the gold homebrew blank (pictured above) he sent me.
Just to show I do turn the blanks that swap partners send me, here's the pen below as proof! The cherry burls pictured here as well have been turned into pens. I'm looking for that blue cast. It's here somewhere waiting to be turned!
