Thanks to Mudder's fine directions on how to make a Sierra pencil.
I never bothered to read it, as I don't make pencils, only the 5.56 lead ones. But had a client order a Sierra pen/pencil set. Must say Scott wrote some fine directions. Just one thing to remember, when you turn the pen to advance the lead, remember to bring it back, like you are retracting a ball pen. I did everything right but could not figure out why the lead was falling back into the pencil...Daaahhhh.....
The pencil is the blue/grey resin laying down. I need to make the pen to match, but busted three flats today trying.
But manage to make some pens on a snowy day The wood ones are drying, they have one coat of waterlox, will take 4 more coats before they are done.
