My wife wanted a rainbow pen. I didn't see a blank I liked so I made one. I thought it turned out ok and she liked it.
Happy to help. The simple answer is, it's not wood. It is two types of Alumilite resin. The "rainbow" is Amazing Casting Resin, it cures to an opaque white. I dyed the resin to the specific colors. The "sky" is Alumilite clear slow, it cures clear and was also dyed. Each of the layers was individually poured and then glued with CA.I'm a rookie, so my apologies for dumb question….
