First Patriot Pen

Turned this pen today using Hackberry that I spalted. The Patriot kit is my first and I didn't get the fit as good as I would have liked. Please feel free to comment.

That blank is awesome . For a first attempt with a new kit , the fit ain't too bad and the finish makes up for the small amount you are off .

Louis, I like the Patriot/Ploaris /Carbara/Atlas. I think next week one of the companies will call it the Neutron but as some old geezer said "whats in a name" yadda yadda yadda, they are a comfortable kit to write with, your wood looks super the little bit your off shouldn't stop any one from using it. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I like to make that kit, don't like to write with it myself but others do. The wood and finish are awesome, fact after seeing it I ordered some spalted hackberry!
