First Fountian

Well here we go. My first fountain pen. This is also the most expensive kit I have bought to date. Sterling Silver Navigator with Texas Ebony. My photography skills need work too and I need to remember to wipe the nib before taking pictures.

That Texas Ebony looks very close to Spanish Briar Burl. Beautiful wood.

Yes it is. This blank has a lot of figure, more than I usually see in Texas Ebony. Not bad for a freebie I got at Woodcrafters. The blank didn't have a tag and the guy at the register has always been generous with blanks so he just let me have it.
