First Fountain Pen

Classic Gold with Bubinga.
Sanded to 12,000MM. Applied 3 coats of Minwax Gloss Poly sanding lightly between coats with 1500 grit. Applied final 3 coats with no sanding and applied 2 protective coats of Brazilian Carnauba.

With the lathe stopped, I wipe the poly on the length of the blank and rotate the lathe by hand until the complete blank is coated.
