Had a friend come to me and wanted me to match a bottle stopper to a wine bag she had purchased. I am fairly new to casting but agreed. Let's just say mixing up Alumilite and pouring into 5 different cups for 5 separate colors and blending together before the working time is up was a bit tedious! Luckily a few hours in the pressure pot at 55psi I got two solid blanks out of the mold! turned to shape, sanded through 12,000 grit, applied a 5 coat thin CA finish and resanded back through 12,000 grit before polishing with Novus 2 then 1. She was extremely happy with how it turned out!
