WARNING CONTAINS WOOD PORN::biggrin:
This is the first Pen out of the Redwood Burl That I got from Big Bear Ca. on my weekend. :rolleyes: The first slab was weather cracked pretty bad :confused: so I cast it in Blue pearl Alumilite at 70 psi to make sure it went deep, :eek: and boy did it. It has 10 coats of thin CA wet sanded to 1K, Chrome polished then plastix polished. It is on a CSUSA black ti sierra. :biggrin:
Any Comments Welcome , Thanks for looking. :)

Max:
Great looking pen and a rather unique display stand. I think the blue coloring accents the redwood Burl well. It would be nice to see a picture with a little less reflection but sometimes that's what we end up with.

Thanks, I took 24 photos (outside) and these were the ones with least amount of reflection.

Nice casting job Max, like Jeff said I like just the cracks filled in it is rather indecent though it's making me think impure thoughts like going up to my shop and do something like make a pen. It sure looks good.
