Got two of these kits from Woodturningz.com This blank came from a cousin who got some of a Walnut tree on an AF base he served on (don't know which one) It has a knot in it that split wide open (not shown), so I had to fill it . He likes friction polish finish , I don't know why :confused: but that's what the customer ordered :wink::rolleyes: Thanks for looking ! :)

Very cool pen. Is the shell real or a copy?
Thanks Steve , they appear to be the real ones . They have a mark on the primer from the firing pin . Have alot of knicks from the tumbler . I used some Brasso and fine emery cloth , then took it to the buffer to polish up the brass . But the kits are very easy to assemble .

Nice job there Chuck! How did you like making that type of pen?
Thanks Dave , it would have been great if I'd had a decent piece of wood . Working the brass takes some time . But the next one should be a breeze .
