What is the best way to finish stabilized wood blanks? I've only made about 20 pens, and all are acrylic. I wet sanded to 800, and MM'd to 12,000. Should I do this on the stabilized, or should they be dry sanded and then finished like a raw wood blank? Thanks for your help.

If you are going to CA even stabilized blanks, I would not wet sand them. You may not have a problem but there seems to be more fogging occurring with wet sanded blanks.

Stabilized wood can still absorb moisture, which may hinder finish. Not always, but just enough for some to be irritating.

Lacquer, Acetone/acrylic, CA, even some Polys are useable.
