I have been aquiring kits and retooling most of the winter but its finally warm enough to start working again.

Finished my first buckeye burl pen today with a gun metal gearshift. Small void i hid under the clip.

And a seam ripper for my mother made with ambrosia maple.

Just got up from the computer, turned, looked outside and it's snowing. Good thing the shop is well insulated and heated.

Is the maple stained or from a naturally dark section?

The maple is not stained but does look a little darker in the picture than it actually is. But it is pretty dark.

Its been -6 and blowing forever and i have no insulation or heat in the shop, yet.
