I have been dealing with orders and have finally had time to make one of the sierras for the troops. This one is one of my homebrews made with Alumilite Crystal Clear and regular white Alumilite mixed.
I am pretty happy with the results and am also glad i made a few of these blanks.
There is no finish on here, just micromesh to 12000.

It is very different from the water clear. I find it a lot easier to shine and the threads aren't as likely to get caught around the blank as it turns. I just ordered another 2 gallons if that helps any.

Neil,
That came out great. When mixing the White with the CC, do they begin to harden/solidify at the same time? I have been messing around with Alumilite white and have found that you better have everything ready to go when you mix... or else. Just wondering for my next Mr. Science experiment.
