Olivewood fountain pen as a gift for a long-time, very good friend.
First attempt at a cigar. Not real pleased with the "ash" but it was more for "proof of concept". Cigar is from slimline parts with the nib embedded in the "ash". Main "cigar" is a from a salesman's sample of "thermally modified" ASH from Eco Vantage.
Olivewood is sanded to 600, 6-layers of CA/BLO, then MM to 12K.
Cigar is sanded to 400, about 12-15-coats of CA/BLO (to cover the band) then MM finished to 3200. Didn't want it to shinny.
Comments and suggestions welcomed.
