Few things from today ...

Finally got the star pointed in the right direction on this one. The Customer wanted the white parts whiter, so it was done with holly, instead of the usual curly maple.

Ken did a great job on the box for this one:

And, here's a Satin Silver Sierra, with the ever gorgeous Hut White Micapearl.

I dunno. I'm not looking at your screen. [] Yeah, it's a bit more purple than the blue area of the cap. Although on the back of the cap there's some purple too.

I dont see any color bleed, and finish looks great.

If I remember right Ken wanted about $90 to do the box.

The pen was extra because the Texas Flag inlay kit usually comes with maple, and Ken charges extra to equip the kit with holly.

I'd have to check my invoices to see but I think we we're lookin' at over $300 all told.

Superb job on the pen, fit and finish. I have yet to try one of Ken's kits, but can only imagine the difficulty fo not getting any bleeding. As usual Ken's box looks amazing. I can only wish my pens looked that good.

aussie_chick, those are made with a kit you get from Kallanshaan Woods. It's done using a laser engraver with a rotary attachment.

Indeed, it's the most elegant mid size kit available. But I'm hoping they do an Imperial Junior and a Lotus Junior eventually.

Very impressive. I am really beginning to like the looks of the sierra kit more and more.

I didn't care much for them, until they came out with the two tone titanium finish kits. Those are pretty spectacular. I still don't care for them much as a whole, but the bright and satin copper and a few others seem to have some potential, if put with the right material.
