Few questions on HF 7 x 10

Been thinking of purchasing a HF 7X10 metal lathe but have a few questions. I will be using it for both metal and resins. What size tooling does it take 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" ? I currently use EWT tools on my wood lathe and would like to use carbide on the metal lathe when turning resins. Do I need two different types of tips or will one work one for both materials?
Any recomendations on where to buy tooling? Thanks in advance!

When I was using mine, I turned metal, wood, resin, acetal. All with HSS and carbide tools. My carbide tipped tools were 1/4.

Now that I have a 9X20, the 7X10 sits covered up on a shelf in the shop.

I use 1/4 inch tools also, but I need to shim them to get on center. 5/16 might work. I buy my tools from CDCO. They have good prices.
