Few Finishing questions

I've done a few searches and have a question since I couldn't find the answer. I was sent a free sample of alt ivory does a CA/BLO finish work on this? If not what kind of finish would I use?

Second, another free one I was sent was an acrylic and I have never done one, any tips on finishing it?

Last, I'm am ordering some of Curtis' Pear Cactus Blanks, how about those?

Haven't done any alt ivory but many acrylics. They're easier than wood as there is no finish. Turn but watch the heat as this will melt the PR/Acrylic/mica pearl. Which ever you turn. WET MM to finish with a Plastic Polish. I use Hut's and when finished it shines like a mirror.

I believe the Cactus is ca if there are any soft spots. Shouldn't be though. Do as acrylic. If I'm wrong, someone will key in.
