When chainsawing, you should be wearing all the proper safety gear including hearing protection, Face shield and Helmet, and if appropriate, chaps.

Now the tip. If a wood chip flies into your mouth DO NOT TRY TO SPIT IT OUT UNTIL YOU RAISE THE FACE SHIELD!!!!

EEEWWWWW!!!!!:frown:

Chips can fly wildly and oddly; and I have had small chips fly into my mouth also. Since, I am in Texas also, I keep Picante Sauce handy.

Hmmm....I need the bucket of popcorn to follow this topic. I can see a whole list of items, critters, and 'other' thing going into some ones' mouth!

I remember weed eating a big, juicy grass hopper one day when I was a teenager. If I hadn't had my mouth open, it would have gotten all over my face.

Last year I was weed eating a fence line up here on chigger ridge and that spinning string (or what ever you want to call that stuff) threw those dang chiggers all over me. If you Yankee's don't know what that's like. ask Scott.

The ridge I live on did get that name for nothin
