Just put my lathe back together after replacing the belt and having trouble reseating the spindle entirely. Finally got that done last night, so I wanted to turn a quick pen to make sure the bearings were ok.
Not a terribly flashy pen, but it's durable. I used figured ash on the pen.
Mostly I was using this pen to work on my photography. Based on some comments in the photography forum, I just took these pictures on my table saw, sitting on a white piece of paperboard. Just a 5000 lumen overhead LED shop light. Slightly different exposures. I guess the shadows aren't too terrible. I will try this with a pen with more color, and see how it turns out.
