Happy that you all liked it. The wood was taken from the ships pilot ladder step, bo'sun had given me a scrap piece. This is very hard and tensile, yet reasonably light. Cutting to shape by hand sanding was not too easy. Someone here had had commented earlier that this is seasoned teak wood, however I have no way to know.!
