Has anyone had experience with the disassembly tools? I have rollerball that I put together wrong and a classic american that needs to be repaired on the barrel. I am debating whether to start over or get the tool and take them apart. Does one tool work on different types of pens or do you need a different tool for each type.

Transfer punches have a small dimple on one end. They are designed to fit tightly into an existing hole and mark the center of the hole on the underlying material. Put in the first screw on a face plate and mark center on the remaining holes for screw installation.

They also are super to best fit down a whole and tap loose parts that are not glued/welded into place. Look to a dead blow or non marring mallet.

Turned down a dowel this morning and it worked like a charm to get the ring off. Thanks for the suggestion - saved the cost of buying the tool or punch set.
