Diamond Credit Card tool

I just purchased a Diamond Credit Card sharpener. I have looked at the vendors and on line and can't see too much in the way of instructions. I do note that they recommend some spray (which I didn't know I should buy with the tool) and am wondering if something like WD 40 might also work.

Also, if anyone knows of a link for some guidance on using the sharpener would be most grateful.

I think the recommended lubrication when using diamond hones is water - - - possibly with just a tiny bit of dishwashing detergent to help break down surface tension.

I use lapping fluid with my diamond stone. Used to touch up my carbide cutters on the turning tools. 3-4 drops on the stone is all you need.

Baby oil is the same as honing oil except it is usually scented and it is a lot cheaper

Since it doesn't seem to take much for each application, I will bite the bullet and get some lapping fluid.
