My neighbor has asked me to make a custom pen for them, and
she likes the desk pen like
http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/..._Kit___father_sing_desk?partnerid=googlebase

However, she'd prefer it in a silver (so chrome or Ti) plating.
For durability I'd prefer it as well.

However, looking at both CSUSA and Penn State I haven't found
anything.

Anybody know of another source - one with silver colored platings?

Thanks

That kit basically a slimline kit but made larger than usual so get a slimline kit in whatever plating you need and make one. The bottom is standard slimline with a larger diameter and the top is shaped as shown.
Do a good turn daily!

The only thing with making a slimline pen in the plating you want is that the funnel where the pen sits is not going to match the pen. I also am planning on making a desk pen and would like the funnel to match the pen in something other than gold. It will be interesting to know if anyone where you can get a different plating.
