Dear Diary,
Today was a good day. I received the first entry in the Limited Modification Kit Pen Contest and it was a beauty! I was really worried that all of those excellent pen makers in the IAP had been befuddled and lost their way due to the flash and noise of other contests managed by folks from strange and far away lands like South Dakota, Massachusetts and (gasp!) Florida.
I look forward to more entries in the coming days and being able to help show them off during the voting period. I will also try to help keep some of the more unscrupulous contest chairs on their toes and best behavior (some are pretty incorrigible, so I have a challenge ahead of me)!
I was also pleased to announce in the contest rules the prizes that our members can win with their kit pen entries. I appreciate the donations and goodwill of our members in helping to make this possible.
