Have to make sure I get this right this time, I don't want to ruffle any feathers.

While waiting for some materials to continue with my FAUX Damascus Look-alike I decided to have a go with Polymer Clay and this is the result of my First attempt at this sort of pattern.

Damascus Steel is made in hundreds of patterns, some very random and others quite distinctive, so although this is not absolutely "Damascus Look-alike" it is fairly close. IMHO

At this point it is not baked and I'm not even sure if I will keep it. The tube is from a "Sierra" kit.

Hope you like it and I will be very interested to read your comments.

Thanks,
Bob:)

Yes, that looks kinda close, and it'll work! :)

Is it applied as a layer or did you mold the entire blank at once and drill it?

I'ld like to see that one baked and turned/finished on a pen! :)

Hello Bob

Call it what you like, it looks very good and would make a nice pen blank. That to me sure does look a lot like Damascus steel. I like your tenacity.:)
