Here are a few pics of the pen boxes I'm making for my pens. This one is Birdseye Maple and Walnut.

looks good.
But have a question on the barrel hinges.
Did you have to champer the backside so it would open?
If so could you show the backside? the one I tried using barrel hinges was a disaster.

Yes Hanau, I did chamfer the the edges. My first two didn't wok out so well, but I finally made the necessary adjustments. There's not much room for error there. I'll take some pictures when I get how tonight, maybe late wood turning club tonight!

I was going for something more substantial than the normal pen box, it still may be a little thick' il probably thin the lids down a bit.

I quite like them! Are they a giveaway with a pen or do you sell them as a valued added item? At what price?

It's not a give away. The pen and box will come as a set for the customer.

Ted,
The first one took some time, but I was making jigs so I could duplicate the process. Since then and the more I make I get a little more proficient.
