Here's my take on crushed velvet. I finished up the last of the green I had and duplicated the pen with the black/grey. Now all I need to do is complete the cap. I want to go for a hidden clip on the black one. I am measuing up some designs now. I will post the finished version soon (hopefully). Any and all comments welcome.

Well done with your mods Chris! what nib did you use.:cool:

I will admit that I have been using the same nib for all of my kitless pens. It is an El Grande. I only have the one for now, I don't sell pens too much like I used to so why buy kits? I get a kick out of trying to make them, it is frustrating without a metal lathe sometimes, but that is what makes it that much more interesting.

Great job Cris . The green is nice but my favorite is the black . That crushed velvet looks really sharp . I love it for all kinds of pens from basic ballpoints to custom Fountain pens . It turns great and polishes up like glass . Good luck on the clip , that's harder to make then the rest of the pen .
