When drilling a lucite blank today it cracked as the bit was exiting the blank. The crack runs about 1/3 up the blank.

My question is....Is it worth trying to turn this? Is the crack going to be so noticable that even if it doesn't blow up that it is not going to look good?

I kinda hate to take the time to glue in the tube and even try turning if it is not going to look right.

I agree with the file 13 advice. That and you don't want 2/3rds of it imbedded in your shop wall or worse yet, your body.

since it is already cracked, it can't hurt to try a bit of repair and see
how it goes.
You can drizzle in a bit of plexitone with an eyedropper, pipette .. whatever
you have. Lucite and Plexiglas are two names for PMMA, but they are
the same thing.
