My wife got an order for 10 'budget' pens for another teacher to give to his class kids. My first official 'sale'!!! And I didn't even take a decent pic of them:redface: But they were just 'cheapies'
But she came back with orders for more and I've been busy since.
First there is the turquoise tru-stone in a Jr Statesman, then an Elegant Sierra with Rhodonite ( I think ) then a set of His and Hers EB's with some cool stuff that Charlie ( NewLondon) gave me. And finally one that will probably go to my boss. He is retiring next month and he's Irish, hence the colours:wink: It's a Silver/Ti Gold Cambridge with malachite ( also from Charlie ) Thanks Buddy!!!

Those are beautiful pens Steve, I need to get some TruStone and you may have tempted me to get some right away, hard to pick a favourite but the Cambridge is really cool my friend!

Too bad I stopped being Irish one day a year....

ok, I can' talk to you anymore.

Nice work, Skip.. you did a nice job with those. I was never really a fan
of the Cambridge, but this looks great! Maybe I'll have to reconsider.
I'm surprised how much of a sheen the white/gold has.

Thanks:biggrin:
The Cambridge one did have a green top too, but just looked OTT so I swapped it for the black. Unfortunately I didn't have another kit as I would have kept it and maybe used a black body on the other one.

I found the Rhodonite one as tough as nails to turn but the others were just like any other tru-stone to turn.

Charlie, are the gold/white and gold/black your own mix? If so, then you should really make them to sell!!!

Cheers

I need to go and work on a new casing pen:wink:

EDIT; Jeff, these weren't the budget ones, these are the orders that I got from that sale. :)

Great looking group of pens Steven. Congratulations on the sales, I knew if you kept on trying you'd finally get the hang of making a pen and sell one

That is as fine a collection of pens as we are likely to see!:worship::worship::worship:
The matching of kit and blank is spot on and the finish is brilliant.

I'm like a kid in a toyshop. Don't know which one I like best.

If they are, they came out better than I thought!

If they were in an "H" shape, then yes .. those came out of one of my molds.
I did some white/gold with powdered marble, and I also tried some black/gold
but I don't think I used marble.
If they were full sized blanks, then they are TruStone from Richard (randbcrafts) He's got great stuff.
