Thanks to lots of advice from IAP members and in particular Don Ward, I was able to successfully cure and cast my first snakeskin blank. I paired it with a 30 06 cartridge. I did not polish the casing and simply dipped it tarnex to preserve more of a natural look.

Excellent Pen, Cody.
Spectacular Snake Skin Blank.
As many would say the best place for any Snake Skin.
Excellent Fit and Enjoy your Finish Treatment of the Blank, and the Cartridge Shell.
Superb Work,
Congratulations.
Brian.

Too bad the beautiful creature gave up its life, but I suppose it will "live on" in the pen.
Nice job on the skin and the pen!

Unfortunately, he took up residence in my wife's tomato plant right beside her favorite lounge chair. He had to go and I am not a snake charmer. At least, l made sure that his passing was not completely in vain.

I have to admit, when I first read the "Headline" I didn't think it would be a good one. But man, you knocked it out of the ballpark...Great job, really turned out nice with the brass
