I used an empty cottage cheese container as a mold to cast colored pencils in resin with a couple of pieces of cherry wood. Turned a box from the casting, added a lid and an African Blackwood finial.
Very pretty. Did you fill the mold with pencils and acrylic then turn them away or did you put something around the inside so you didn't use as many pencils or as much resin? I'd love to see pictures of the process.

I turned the bottom piece of cherry to where it fit snugly in the bottom of the container, filled the container with pencil pieces, poured in the resin to near the brim and then weighted it down with the upper cherry piece. I then shaped the outside and turned the inside. Here is a photo of the inside. More waste than I would like but not sure how to avoid it.
