I cut some of my colorply in 1/8th" sticks for knots, then noticed they were cut with the 'grain' of the colorply at right angles to the way I had done it before. The effect was unexpected, the colors made stripes aligned with the axis of the pen in spite of being inserted in 45 degree cuts. I'm not sure I like the results though I'm sure I'll find a use for it eventually.

interesting, im not sure im a fan though
theres certainly nothing wrong with it it just seems kinda cartoony, alot of distraction i think.

I love it! The walnut kinda takes a back seat to the knot, which to me implies the need to do that again on a more plain material. But that's just one opinion. That's freakin sweet!

Very nice! I think if the knot was a little longer and the material a little thinner it would be perfect...just my .02 which isn't worth a whole lot!

Excellent work though!
